Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of medical/surgical or equivalent clinical rotation from ACEN, CCNE or NLN CNEA accredited institution.
• Listed on Ohio STNA registry or Ohio CNA (If CNA is in another state, must reciprocity within 180 days).
• Listed on Ohio or National Emergency Medical Services Registry.
• 1+ years of patient care experience within the last three years.
• Requires CPR training and maintenance of certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan of Care: provide approved care of assigned patients under RN supervision; assist with daily living activities and supervision of developmentally appropriate activities.
• Communication: demonstrate CARES behaviors, report changes in patient condition, document in medical record, discuss concerns with supervisors.
• Environment: keep division safe, organized, compliant with infection control, and safe for children’s ages and development.
• Administrative Support: respond to alarms, answer phones per etiquette, assemble charts, stock supplies, assist in orientation of new employees.

Education

ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA accredited clinical rotation

OHIO STNA registry or Ohio CNA

Ohio or National EMS Registry

1+ years patient care experience (last 3 years)

CPR training & certification maintenance
