Job summary

Memorial Hermann is seeking a Patient Care Technician II to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse, including vital signs, hygiene, mobility support, and documentation. This role emphasizes patient-centered care, safety, and efficient teamwork in an acute care setting.

The candidate should have at least 1 year of patient care experience and a current BLS certification; acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of prior patient care experience (e.g. CNA/EMT/PCT) or similar role.
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association within 90 days of employment.
• Experience in acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Perform ADL support, vital signs, hygiene, mobility, nutrition and charting.
• Report changes to nurse and document accurately and timely.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment and adhere to safety policies.
• Assist in orienting new staff and ensure safe care for patients, staff and visitors.
