Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for day shifts in Sioux Falls. The role involves multi-skilled basic patient care within ambulatory services, supervised by licensed clinicians, and contributing to patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include obtaining vital signs, screenings, preparing treatment areas, maintaining equipment, and supporting clerical tasks. CNA/NA credentials and BLS are preferred or to be obtained within required timeframes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of six months' experience preferred; clinic experience preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and supplies preferred.
• BLS for health care providers required or within the first 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care tasks under supervision and assist in ambulatory services.
• Take measurements and screenings (height, weight, BP, visual acuity, etc.) and prepare treatment areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of patient care areas and equipment; restock supplies as needed.
• Support patient registries and contribute to improving patient care; communicate effectively with team.
