Job summary

Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide patient-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN or LPN supervision. The role includes recording vital signs, basic treatments, and helping with daily activities.

Shift: 12 hours, day shifts; one shift per week, with weekend/holiday commitments. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED (preferred), knowledge of medical terminology, and CNA

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred; may require state registry compliance.

Responsibilities

• Record vital statistics and assess patient condition to aid diagnosis and treatment.
• Provide basic health care and daily living assistance (bathing, dressing, meals, grooming, etc.).
• Prepare patient treatment areas and clean medical equipment; dispose of biomedical waste according to policy.
• Perform scheduling and documentation of patient healthcare.
• Provide one-on-one patient care when necessary for safety and care continuity.
