Job summary

Mercy Fort Smith is seeking a Patient Care Associate to assist in individualized patient care under RN/LPN supervision. This full-time position in Med/Tele (5100) offers a career ladder to PCT and beyond.

Responsibilities include obtaining vital signs, assisting with meals, bathing, mobility, and documentation in the EMR; training is provided through an accredited DOL Apprenticeship program. BLS within 1 month; CNA preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: HS diploma or GED; CNA/CPTC preferred.
• No experience required.
• BLS within 1 month of hire; ability to meet physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs and document into the EMR system.
• Assist with meals, bathing, toileting, ambulation and patient transport.
• Provide clerical support as needed, such as charting and scheduling.
