Job summary

Mercy is hiring a Patient Care Associate (PCA) in Fort Smith, AR. The role supports nursing staff under supervision, performing basic patient care and clerical tasks to maintain smooth operations.

Training opportunities include a DOL-apprenticeship style program and a required 175-hour training for new hires, with BLS within one month. Qualifications

• Education requirement: High school diploma or GED; CNA/CPTC preferred or enrolled in healthcare program.
• Experience: None required; on-the-job training available.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds; standing and walking for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs and document in the EMR.
• Assist with meals, bathing, toileting, ambulation, mobility and transport.
• Provide clerical support as needed.
• Participate in career ladder to PCT with additional duties like phlebotomy and wound care.
