East Georgia Regional Medical Center seeks a Patient Transporter to safely move patients within the facility, ensuring comfort, safety, and confidentiality while coordinating with healthcare teams.

Responsibilities include assisting patients in wheelchairs/beds, maintaining infection control, documenting activities, and providing compassionate support to patients and families. BCLS certification is required by orientation; 0–1 year experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in healthcare or patient support is required.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support certification by end of orientation is required.

Responsabilités

• Transport patients safely between departments while maintaining comfort and dignity.
• Assist patients in and out of wheelchairs, stretchers, or beds using proper lifting techniques.
• Communicate with nursing staff, physicians, and other providers to coordinate transport needs.
• Maintain clean and sanitized transport equipment and follow infection control protocols.
• Document transport activities in logs or electronic systems as required.
• Provide excellent customer service and support to patients and families during transport.
• Report safety concerns or incidents promptly.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
