Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from designated areas; communicates transport delays or concerns.
• Transports equipment, supplies, and other materials following safety procedures.
• Greets patients courteously and assists in lifting and transferring patients to beds, chairs, stretchers, and/or vehicles.
• Cleans transport equipment and reports any malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Maintains infection control and body substance isolation standards; participates in required in-services.
