TouchPoint Support Services at Henry Ford St. John Hospital in Detroit is seeking a Patient Transporter to safely move patients, equipment and related items within the facility.

This part-time role offers a starting pay of $15.00 per hour, with training provided; schedule is Monday–Friday with alternating weekends and holidays. You will collaborate with nurses and clinicians to ensure timely transports while upholding patient safety and HIPAA standards.

• Responsible for the safe, timely and accurate transport of patients, medical equipment and patient-related items to their destinations.
• Properly and safely transports patients, secures IVs, drainage tubes, etc., and secures patient.
• Uses wheelchairs and other approved rolling stock to carry out essential duties.
• Communicates effectively with nursing personnel, clinicians, technicians or reception and dispatch.
• Maintains equipment and reports equipment needing repairs.
• Complies with regulatory agency standards, including federal, state and JCAHO.
