Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Patient Transporter to support patient movement across departments. You will respond to transport requests, move patients by bed, stretcher, or wheelchair, and ensure equipment is transferred safely.

You will work in a busy hospital setting with a focus on communication with patients and families, assisting with care equipment, and maintaining cleanliness of stretchers and wheelchairs.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Assist in direct patient care by communicating with patient and family and arranging transport to the required mode of travel
• Transfer patients to and from bed, stretcher, or wheelchair with or without staff assistance based on patient needs
• Maintain department cleanliness and upkeep of stretchers, wheelchairs, oxygen cylinders and related equipment
