Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation is seeking a Patient Transporter to provide courteous, safe transport of patients and supplies within the hospital. You will transport patients, equipment, and supplies to ensure availability for patient care, while maintaining a germ-free environment and documenting transports in the departmental log.

Prior experience in hospital or customer service is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is required, with HS diploma/GED or higher preferred.

Qualifications

• 6 months hospital or customer service experience.
• Knowledge, skills and mental development equivalent to completion of 4 years of high school, or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
• HS diploma/GED or higher preferred

Responsibilities

• Transports patients, equipment, and/or supplies throughout hospital to ensure items are available when needed for patient care.
• Maintains a safe and germ free environment for all customers.
• Documents all patient transports on appropriate departmental log.
• Inspects equipment prior to usage to ensure in proper working order.
• Completes assigned goals.
