Job summary

Mercy Hospital South is seeking dedicated Patient Transporters to move patients and equipment safely within the facility. You will collaborate with nurses and staff to maintain high patient satisfaction, while keeping transport gear clean and compliant with safety standards.

Roles include day, evening, and night shifts, with both full-time and part-time options available. Applicants should be at least 18, fluent in English, and able to operate in a team-oriented hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
• Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform.
• CPR certification (American Heart Association), or must obtain certification with HHSGED.
• Preferred: patient transportation experience in healthcare or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients in wheelchairs, hospital beds, or on stretchers.
• Work with nursing, medical staff, and other departments to ensure patient satisfaction.
• Clean and disinfect transport equipment to ensure patient safety.
• Follow all HHS procedures and best practices.
