Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Plymouth within Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a full-time Patient Transporter for day shifts. You will document patient trips, transport patients between care areas, and assist with patient transfers and bedside movements.

Responsibilities include obtaining necessary sign-offs, coordinating with nursing staff, and maintaining equipment cleanliness. The role requires basic computer skills, a high school diploma, and prior customer service or healthcare

Qualifications

• On the job training.
• Basic computer experience required.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Previous experience in a healthcare environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Document patient trips via Hospital Throughput computer system.
• Transport patients to and from care areas and assist with transfers to/from beds, wheelchairs, and stretchers.
• Obtain a Ticket to Ride from the nurse and have the nurse sign it before departure from the patient floor.
• Communicate with the RN and receiving department to ensure patient safety before leaving a location.
• Maintain cleanliness of patient equipment and report any equipment issues to the Manager.
