Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from clinical, ancillary and support areas using wheelchairs, stretchers or beds.
• Transfer patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers.
• Transport patients during discharge to the hospital lobby.
• Ensure proper oxygen levels in tanks before transporting patients.
• Assist patients and visitors and verify patient identification.
• Disinfect and maintain equipment and perform safety checks.
• Report malfunctioning equipment and move equipment and linen carts.
• Complete training to learn multiple hospital locations and safety procedures.
