Responsibilities

• Transports patients safely between departments and maintains dignity throughout
• Assists patients in and out of wheelchairs, stretchers, or beds using proper lifting techniques
• Communicates with nursing staff and physicians to coordinate transport needs
• Keeps transport equipment clean and sanitized per infection control protocols
• Follows safety guidelines for patient handling and transport and reports concerns promptly
• Documents transport activities in logs or electronic systems
