Job summary

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is seeking a Transport Assistant for full-time day shifts in Bolingbrook, IL. The role supports patient movement, equipment handling, and safe transfers across the facility, ensuring timely service and patient safety.

Responsibilities include coordinating with staff, maintaining clear hallways, and using the Transportation system to log details. Requires basic High School education and CPR/BLS certification; prior medical setting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv (Preferred).
• 1+ year public contact in a medical setting (Preferred).
• Proficient in English; ability to read, write and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Move and transport patients using stretchers, beds, and wheelchairs.
• Assist in safe transfers of patients from bed to stretcher or wheelchair.
• Transport patient-related items including belongings, papers, labs, and equipment.
• Ensure proper handling and delivery of medical equipment and supplies.
• Record transport details accurately in the Transportation system.
