Job summary

Centra Health is seeking a driver for Centra Ground Transport to provide routine non-medical door-to-door transportation. The role includes performing safety inspections, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and communicating patient needs to the supervisor.

The position requires a Virginia driver’s license and within six months completion of EVOC Level 2, CPR/First Aid, and PASS training. Preferred candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and experience in direct support or medical transport.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine non-medical transportation for Centra Ground Transport.
• Perform pre- and post-vehicle safety inspections and report maintenance issues.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of Centra vehicles.
• Enter patient homes safely and interact with patients professionally.
• Maintain records/documentation for participants/patients and vehicles.
• Transport various patient transportation modes (ambulatory, wheelchair, van stretcher).
• Communicate changes and needs to supervisor or shift lead.
