Job summary

Encompass Health is hiring a Van Driver to transport patients and support hospital operations with a friendly, professional demeanor. You will assist patients, families, and staff to ensure safe, timely transportation and contribute to high-quality patient care within a community-focused environment.

The role requires CPR/First Aid training, a valid driver’s license, and prior transportation experience. Day-to-day duties include vehicle inspections, safe driving, and responding to patient needs.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid training is required.
• Experience in transportation or patient handling is preferred.
• Must be 25 years of age and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Operate transportation vehicles safely and follow traffic laws.
• Maintain vehicle appearance and report maintenance needs.
• Conduct daily/weekly vehicle inspections.
• Assist patients with transfers and use safety equipment as needed.
• Be prepared to respond to patient emergencies with CPR as needed.
