Job summary

Centra Ground Transport in Lynchburg, VA is seeking a Driver to provide routine non-medical transportation from door to door. You will ensure safe, courteous transport for Centra patients and perform pre- and post-shift vehicle inspections.

You will communicate patient needs to the supervisor, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and support diverse transport types including ambulatory and stretcher cases. A Virginia driver’s license and required safety certifications are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Virginia driver’s license.
• Within six months of hire: EVOC level 2, CPR/First Aid, PASS training.
• Ability to adapt to different transport modes (ambulatory, wheelchair, stretcher).

Responsibilities

• Providing exceptional door to door care to all Centra patients.
• Entering safely into patient homes on a routine basis.
• Communicating all patient changes & needs to direct supervisor.
• Performing pre & post shift vehicle safety inspections, assuring vehicle is in proper operational condition and reporting any maintenance issues to relevant personnel.
• Maintain cleanliness of interior & exterior of Centra vehicle.
• Maintain all necessary records/documentation regarding participants/patients & vehicles.
• Transport patients who are ambulatory, wheelchair, and van stretcher.
• Communicating frequent changes to direct supervisor or Shift Lead.
