Corewell Health is seeking a dedicated Patient Transport Associate at Troy Hospital to move patients to and from examinations and treatments, assist with transfers, and support a safe care environment. The role emphasizes patient safety, proper identification, and timely transport, working with clinical staff to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities include transporting patients and equipment, preparing patients for transport, and maintaining clean equipment and work areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Three months of on-the-job training completed.
• Demonstrates safe lifting and transport techniques.
• Understands and follows HIPAA confidentiality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from examinations and treatments.
• Assist patients in and out of cars, on/off beds, and to treatment areas using gurneys or wheelchairs.
• Prepare patients for transport and verify patient identification.
• Transport equipment and supplies with patients and medications as needed.
• Clean and disinfect equipment; maintain clean work areas and report malfunctions.
• Participate in safety initiatives and follow unit safety competencies.
