Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) seeks a Transport Aide to support caring for patients across ambulatory and non-ambulatory transports. The role includes driving duties, safety checks of the vehicle, and accurate documentation for records and billing.

Responsibilities emphasize maintaining clean, stocked vehicles, communicating with staff and patients, and adhering to departmental policies, with compliance to insurance and age requirements.

Competenze

• Valid Class C driver's license.
• High school diploma or GED completed.
• Must be 21+ years old for NGHS vehicle insurance.
• CPR, first aid, and vehicle operation certifications maintained.

Mansioni

• Maintain transport vehicle in a condition suitable for transportation of patients.
• Ensure the vehicle is cleaned, fueled, and fully stocked.
• Maintain a monthly acceptable Road Safety score.
• Use safety measures and follow departmental policies.
• Secure patients to the stretcher or wheeled chair and to the vehicle.
• Keep an accurate trip sheet with times and mileages.
• Complete a vehicle inspection sheet before each shift.
• Complete billing sheets required to obtain reimbursement for the transport.
