Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking an EMS Transport Driver to accompany and assist in the transport of patients. This role operates under supervision and ensures a clean, prepared vehicle for safe transport, with documentation for records and billing.

You will communicate with patients, nursing staff, and the Medical Transport Dispatcher throughout shifts. The position requires a valid Class C license, a high school diploma or GED, and prior healthcare exposure is helpful.

Qualifikationen

• Valid Class C driver’s license.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in a healthcare environment is preferred; must be 21+ for NGHS vehicle insurance.

Aufgaben

• Transport ambulatory and non-ambulatory patients with wheeled chairs and stretchers.
• Ensure the vehicle is clean and prepared to safely transport patients.
• Document transports for departmental records and billing purposes.
• Communicate with patients, nursing staff, and Medical Transport Dispatcher.
• Maintain patient safety and proper lifting techniques; protect patients from weather when outside the vehicle.
