Job summary

The Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) seeks a Patient Transporter/Lift Technician to support safe, timely movement of patients and related items within the MUSC campus. You will perform complex lifts/transfers and educate patients and families on transfer techniques for post-hospital care.

Under general supervision, you will report to the Patient Transport Supervisor and help ensure quality patient care with diligent attention to safety, courtesy, and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital

Qualifications

• Education: High School Degree or Equivalent.
• Work Experience: 0–6 months, dependent on position.
• State licensure and/or professional certification requirements depend on position.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hospital-based transportation of patients within the MUSC campus.
• Provide safe and timely transport for patients and related items.
• Educate patients and families on transfer techniques for post-hospital care.
