Job summary

Castle Healthcare in Indiana seeks a Transportation Driver to safely transport patients to and from hospitals, medical offices, dialysis centers and private residences. You will provide exceptional service and assist residents with boarding, seating and mobility aids while maintaining safety protocols.

You will operate GPS and radio equipment, perform basic vehicle inspections, complete logs, and communicate scheduling updates to supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Active Indiana Driver’s License required.
• DOT compliant physical.
• Experience as a bus or van driver preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Provides transportation of residents to and from hospitals, medical offices, dialysis centers and private residences.
• Provides a high level of customer service while transporting residents to activities, appointments and outings.
• Assists residents with boarding, seating and securing wheelchairs and walkers.
• Maintains vehicle by performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections and completing paperwork.
• Follows safety procedures, reports hazards and communicates scheduling updates.
