Job summary

Well Care Community Health, Inc. is seeking a patient transport driver in Indiana to safely shuttle patients to and from non-emergency medical appointments. You will assist patients with limited mobility, maintain clean vehicles, and log daily driving records.

The role requires a valid Indiana driver’s license for at least one year, completion of PASS training, and CPR/First Aid certifications. You will coordinate with WCCH staff on trip details, ensure safety, and support regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and one year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid standard Indiana driver's license for a minimum of one continuous year.
• Pass the written Indiana BMV For-Hire knowledge exam and complete PASS training (wheelchair securement, lifts, passenger assistance).

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients with limited mobility during boarding and exiting the vehicle.
• Coordinate referrals, trip eligibility, pickup/destination info, appointment/return times, routing, caregiver accompaniment, and delays with WCCH staff.
• Document and record accurate trip logs and odometer readings.
• Conduct daily pre-trip vehicle safety inspections and report maintenance issues.
• Keep in-vehicle safety gear, first aid kits, and spill kits stocked.
• Document and follow incident response procedures.
• Assist in regulatory compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, labor laws and other regulations.
• Attend staff meetings and conferences as required.
• Maintain a valid Indiana Driver's license with a For-Hire Endorsement.
• Complete mandatory CPR, First Aid, and PASS safety certifications.
