Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Transport Technician to provide reliable patient and equipment transportation across diagnostic areas and units. The role involves assisting Radiology and other departments with patient transfers, maintaining equipment inventory, and supporting security during alerts.

Requires a High School diploma (preferred) and CPR certification; prior hospital experience is advantageous. This position is on-site within the hospital network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides transportation service to diagnostic areas and hospital units.
• Collects, cleans, maintains, distributes and documents inventory of department equipment.
• Assists Radiology staff with patient transfers and lifting as needed.
• Replaces oxygen cylinders daily and as required.
• Transports deceased patients to the morgue.
• Provides backup support for Security during alerts and codes.
• Communicates with patients, visitors, physicians and staff daily.
• Responds to codes and alerts as duties permit.
