Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; healthcare admin certification preferred.
• 1–2 years in a customer service or administrative role, preferably in healthcare.
• Excellent communication and professional interaction with patients, staff and visitors.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with EHR and office equipment; knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
• Compassionate, empathetic, and discreet demeanor with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and check-in/out; verify demographics and insurance information, update records as needed.
• Schedule patient appointments and coordinate referrals and diagnostic tests with providers.
• Verify insurance coverage, eligibility and benefits; obtain pre-authorizations as required.
• Answer calls and respond to patient inquiries; relay messages to providers and staff.
• Maintain front desk cleanliness and organization; file, fax, scan, and manage medical records.
