Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a caregiver to perform and document continuous observation under the direction of a registered nurse in a hospital setting. This 40-hour per week, full-time role targets reliable individuals ready to support patient care in a dynamic health system.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalency.
• Experience: One year of previous work experience.
• Knowledge and Skills: Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to successfully deal with problems.

Responsibilities

• Ensures constant attendance throughout shift for assigned patient.
• Ensures patient is visible at all times.
• Keeps company with patient and helps with eating and other difficult tasks for the patient.
• Removes dangerous items from patient as directed by registered nurse.
• Accompanies patient transport to testing areas.
• Reports accurately what the patient eats and drinks to nurse and clears areas as needed.
• Adapts willingly to changing department demands.
• Remains flexible in staffing patterns and assignments.
