Job summary

A leading healthcare support services company in Baton Rouge is hiring Patient Observation Assistants for full-time and part-time roles. You will provide ongoing observation of patients under the supervision of nursing staff, ensuring safety and support. Ideal candidates should have a high school diploma and preferably prior experience in patient care. The role includes monitoring behavior, reporting safety issues, and assisting with patient comfort. Pay starts at $14 per hour, with various health benefits available.

Qualifications

• Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods.
• Requires bending, stooping, reaching up, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• One to two years of previous experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor assigned patient’s condition and behavior constantly.
• Complete observation reports at established intervals.
• Provide compassionate services and interact supportively with patients.
• Seek help when patient appears in medical distress.
• Ensure patient environment is safe and report hazards as necessary.
