Job summary

TouchPoint Support Services is hiring for a Patient Observation Assistant in Novi, MI. The role involves visually and audibly monitoring patients under RN direction, documenting observations, and ensuring a safe environment.

The position requires rotating schedules with weekends and holidays, and entails lifting up to 50 pounds. We offer both full-time and part-time opportunities with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
• CPR AED or BLS-HCP certification required within 30 days of hire, if required at the facility.
• Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods. Requires bending, stooping, reaching up, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• One to two years of previous experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides visual and audible observation of assigned patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) and unit manager.
• Completes observation reports at established interval.
• Takes initiative in rendering service and responding to needs with hospitality and support.
• Remains at the bedside of the assigned patient at all times unless relieved by staff.
• Assists in calming and reorienting patients and reporting safety concerns.
