Job summary

Compass Group USA is seeking a Patient Server at Via Christi Rehabilitation Hospital in Wichita, KS. The role supports patient meals, menu selections, tray assembly, and delivery with a strong emphasis on confidentiality and safety. The schedule is full-time, 11:00 am to 7:30 pm, with rotating weekends and on-site work.

Training is provided and patient care is central to the job. Prior food service experience is preferred, and candidates must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Computer technical skills to operate hospital systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Exhibits a friendly, caring attitude to patients when taking menu selections, delivering trays, and during catering rounds.
• Takes patients menu selections prior to each meal and assembles trays accordingly.
• Ensures dietary restrictions are followed and communicates patient needs to nursing staff.
• Assembles trays per tray tickets in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintains accurate patient information on assigned units and supports with nutrition monitoring when needed.
• Follows sanitation, HACCP, and safety protocols and maintains a clean working environment.
