Responsibilities

• Assemble trays according to patient menu selections and dietary restrictions.
• Deliver meals and nourishments to patients; verify diet and accuracy at point of service.
• Maintain professional image and assist patients with opening containers and questions.
• Takes calls from patients and nursing units; discuss tray delivery times with staff.
• Follow proper telephone etiquette and communicate patient needs to nursing/dietary staff.
• Document temperatures and serve meals while ensuring safe food temps.
