The position requires strong English literacy, basic computer skills, and physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand menu selections and coordinate with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies, cultural, ethnic, or religious preferences.
• Assemble meals according to patient selections and retrieve trays on schedule.
• Adhere to regulatory standards and HIPAA policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines for food handling and cleaning.
• Support infection control policies in the department.
• Assist dietitians with monitoring dietary needs.
• Communicate issues to appropriate staff promptly.
• Complete daily/weekly/monthly reports as required.
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations.
