Job summary

Tampa General Hospital, Inc. seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support nursing staff with direct and indirect patient care. You will help meet patient needs such as nutrition, hygiene, safety, and comfort under the supervision of licensed nurses.

You will obtain and record patient information, assist with activities of daily living, and help with mobility while maintaining a clean, safe environment. A High School Diploma and BLS certification are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification through ARC or AHA preferred.
• Under supervision of RN, supports nursing staff with patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (meals, bathing, oral care, grooming).
• Record admissions data and ongoing patient information (vital signs, intake/output).
• Assist with patient mobility and positioning.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized patient care environment.
