Job summary

Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD, seeks a CNA to provide direct patient care on rotating days/evenings/nights and holidays. You will support ED Main and two Freestanding EDs, cross-training as needed, with a potential $750 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities include ambulation, feeding, and attending to care needs; prompt response to call lights; and assisting with admissions, transfers, and equipment as directed by nursing staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) license preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine patient care under nurse/physician direction.
• Ambulate, bathe, position patients and input diet information.
• Assist with meals, respond to call lights and transport patients as needed.
• Maintain patient rooms and assist with clerical tasks as required.
