Job summary

GBMC is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to assist registered nurses in delivering direct patient care and ensuring patient comfort and safety. The role requires basic clinical skills, reliable communication, and the ability to follow supervised procedures.

The position supports daily patient care activities, including ADLs, observation, documentation, and collaboration with nursing staff to promote quality care and patient experience at GBMC.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months experience in direct patient care preferred.
• Current registration with State of Maryland Board of Nursing Examiners of Nurses as a CNA I or CNA II.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provides for care, comfort, and safety of assigned patients under direct supervision of a nurse.
• Assists patients in activities of daily living, including bathing, toileting, oral hygiene, and changing bed linens.
• Observes patients and reports changes in condition to nursing staff.
• Performs delegated nursing care procedures as directed by the nurse.
• Maintains clean and stocked patient rooms and assists with feeding if needed.
• Able to perform routine vital signs and basic measurements as required.
