Job summary

GBMC is seeking a certified nursing assistant to support Registered Nurses in delivering patient care on the unit. Under direct supervision, you will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, and help with routine procedures while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, Maryland CNA certification, and CPR. Prior direct care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months experience in direct patient care preferred.
• CNA I or CNA II with Maryland registration.
• CPR Certification (Heart Saver) required.

Responsibilities

• Assists the nurse with direct patient care under supervision.
• Assists with activities of daily living and routine tasks.
• Records vital signs, intake/output, weight, and basic measurements.
• Uses infection-control practices and maintains clean patient areas.
• Prepares and assists with procedures as directed by the nurse.
• Documents care and reports changes to nursing staff.
