Job summary

Mat-Su Regional Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide high-quality, patient-centered care under RN/LPN supervision. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patient conditions, and help maintain a safe, clean environment in a fast-paced setting.

The role emphasizes effective communication within the care team, adherence to infection control, and participation in performance improvement initiatives. Prior acute care exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Currently enrolled in a nursing program is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of patient care practices and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assists nursing staff with delegated care and maintains a clean, safe environment.
• Records vital signs, intake/output, and reports findings to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Supports meals, bathing, grooming, and mobility for patients.
• Assists with positioning, transfers, and use of mobility aids.
• Collects specimens and monitors glucose as directed.
• Maintains communication with care team and follows safety protocols.
