Job summary

Alaska Regional Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the nursing team in the Post-Surgical Care Unit. You will assist RNs with vital signs, mobility, and personal care, contributing to a safe, welcoming environment for patients and helping implement care plans.

The role emphasizes empathy, collaboration, and attention to detail in a fast-paced surgical setting at our Anchorage facility.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 7 days of employment start date
• 6 Months Experience Preferred

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality
