Job summary

Mercy is seeking a patient care technician to assist in individualized patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. You will perform clinical procedures and non-clinical tasks essential to patient wellbeing, while maintaining safety and teamwork on every shift.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, and may be enrolled in a healthcare program; BLS is required within one month of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; CNA/CPCT or in a healthcare program
• BLS certification within 1 month of hire
• Training as required by state for PCT position; 90 days to complete

Responsibilities

• Assist in individualized patient care under RN/LPN direction
• Perform designated clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks
• Push/pull and lift 50 pounds regularly
• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
• Demonstrate teamwork and effective communication with the care team
