Responsibilities

• Records vital signs, assists in personal hygiene and comfort measures, and tracks intake and outputs.
• Assists in specimen collection and related activities.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment to prevent infection and protect patients, visitors, and staff.
• Reports equipment repair needs promptly.
• Prepares patients for examinations and procedures as per department procedures.
• Communicates nutrition-related issues to the RN.
• Supports department operations with administrative tasks.
• Answers patient call bells and relays messages to appropriate staff.
• Completes annual education related to specialty accreditation as defined by standards.
