Job summary

Jefferson Health in Philadelphia is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide direct and indirect patient care under licensed clinicians. The role supports telehealth encounters, collaborates with an interprofessional team, and ensures a safe, efficient care environment for diverse patients.

Responsibilities include assisting with rounds, responding to call lights, and coordinating with staff. A High School Diploma, medical knowledge, and BLS are required; Epic/Vidyo fluency is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care within an interprofessional team.
• Strong communication and collaboration with patients, families and staff.
• BLS certification required (AHA) on hire or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with and supports the interprofessional team, patient, family and designated care partners.
• Performs direct and indirect patient care activities under supervision of licensed clinicians.
• Maintains a safe patient care environment.
• Assists with supplies and equipment to ensure efficient unit operations.
• Conducts patient rounds and responds promptly to calls or pages.
• May serve as virtual safety associate as needed.
• May assist with telehealth exams using peripheral devices and video software.
