Job summary

Garrett Regional Medical Center in Oakland, Maryland, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide nonprofessional direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a nurse. You will assist with admissions, transfers and discharges, monitor vital signs, and help with hygiene and comfort measures.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, plus BLS within 30 days and state CNA certification where services are performed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• CNA certification required for MD/OH/PA/WV as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Observes and reports patient changes to Nursing Staff.
• Assists with admission, transfer, discharge, and general patient care duties.
• Records vital signs and assists in hygiene and comfort measures.
• Assists in specimen collection and other assigned tasks.
• Maintains clean, safe environment to prevent infections.
