Allegheny Health Network is seeking a healthcare assistant to provide direct patient care and assist with non-direct unit coordination. The role includes basic nursing procedures for stable patients and collaboration with RNs in acutely ill situations.

You will help document care in the EMR, support admissions/discharges, and contribute to maintaining patient comfort and safety through timely, accurate tasks on the inpatient unit.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics.
• Basic computer skills are required.

Responsabilidades

• Provides, obtains or performs and documents direct patient care and activities such as activities of daily living, vital signs, ambulation, specimen collection, intake and output, and mobility tasks.
• Participates in quality and patient satisfaction initiatives to promote safety and maintain a clean environment.
• Accurately documents vital signs, weights, I&O, and other treatments; reports changes to nursing staff.
• Participates in unit activities such as supply stocking and equipment cleaning.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
