Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, HSED, or equivalent experience.
• Basic computer and technology skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and follow established policies and procedures.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to providing exceptional service to patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Support Patient Care Operations: Maintain patient care areas by ensuring supplies and equipment are readily available, clean, and properly stored.
• Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies as needed, and check product expiration dates to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance.
• Clean and prepare equipment for patient use.
• Assist Patients and Families: Safely transport patients, family members, and visitors throughout the hospital using appropriate transport methods and infection prevention protocols.
• Provide compassionate assistance and excellent customer service during patient interactions.
• Respond appropriately in emergency situations by seeking immediate clinical support when needed.
• Promote a Safe and Organized Environment: Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient care environment.
• Participate in Continual Service Readiness (CSR) activities to support compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
• Identify and report equipment issues, safety concerns, or maintenance needs promptly.
• Collaborate with the Healthcare Team: Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care needs.
• Utilize email, phones, pagers, Voalte, and other communication tools to stay connected and informed.
• Assist with additional duties such as transporting laboratory specimens and supporting departmental operations as needed.
