Longview Regional Medical Center in Longview is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support nursing staff by performing delegated basic patient care services and maintaining a clean, safe environment.

Under RN/LPN supervision, the PCT assists with activities of daily living, records vitals, assists with meals, mobility, and specimen collection, and communicates patient information to the care team, while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred.
• BCLS within 90 days of hire required.

Responsabilités

• Assists nursing staff in delivering care, ensuring a clean, safe environment.
• Collects and records patient data including vitals, reporting to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Supports patients with meals, bathing, grooming, linen changes, and catheter care.
• Assists with patient positioning and mobility using walkers or wheelchairs.
• Collects urine/stool samples and performs finger-stick blood glucose tests; reports results.
