Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician in New Jersey. You will provide patient care across health needs, perform phlebotomy and EKG, and support the care team from admission to discharge.

Strong teamwork, communication, and the ability to adapt to changing patient needs are essential. A CNA/MA/PCT program or apprenticeship eligibility is preferred, with a starting rate around market norms for the region.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with healthcare program completion.
• Completion of one of the listed patient care programs or equivalent background.
• Ability to learn quickly, work in a team, and deliver quality care.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care based on age-specific criteria and safety.
• Communicate patient status with RN and health care team promptly.
• Obtain vitals, draw blood, and perform EKG as directed by RN.
• Assist with patient movement, hygiene, meals, and daily activities.
• Support care plan from admission to discharge and participate in PI activities.
