Job summary

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.

• Maintain annual educational requirements for hospital-based certifications (e.g. DNV, CARF or others).
• Nurse Aide in good standing as indicated with the State Registry.

Responsibilities

• Assists RN with daily care of patients including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders and ambulation.
• Measures and documents blood pressures, TPRs, I&O, daily weights, and other patient data in EMR.
• Performs purposeful rounding and communicates observations to the RN.
• Participates in admission, transfer and discharge processes under RN supervision.
• Collects urine, stool, and sputum specimens and performs point-of-care testing as indicated.
• Completes errands, maintains stock, cleans equipment and work areas.
• Performs patient positioning and transporting duties, assists with dietary needs.
• Maintains skin integrity and ensures proper supplies and appliances are provided.
