Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center, part of Parkridge Health System, seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our collaborative nursing team. You will assist RNs with vital signs, mobility, and personal care, helping create a safe, welcoming environment and supporting care plans.

You'll contribute to infection control, keep patient areas clean and stocked, and communicate compassionately with patients and families.

Qualifications

• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality
