Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids seeks a Patient Care Tech for the Pulmonary Medicine Center. The role supports patient-centered care by performing tasks under licensed supervision and may take on additional responsibilities as delegated.

Responsibilities include safe patient handling, accurate documentation, handoffs, and assisting with ambulation and routine assessments. Requires HS diploma, CNA or health support training preferred, and BLS certification.

Competenze

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CNA or Health Support Professional program preferred; or continuing education in healthcare.
• Some college with a health track acceptable; related training may substitute for experience.

• Provide safe, effective patient care under licensed nurse supervision.
• Communicate patient information during handoffs and with families and co-workers.
• Document care in real time and protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Assist with patient mobility, assessments, and fall risk interventions.
